Dr Raj Shekhar Paul earned his under graduation (MBBS) from the Medical College, Kolkata followed by a masters (MS) at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Guwahati). He underwent long-term fellowship at the Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata & Chennai in clinical Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Currently, he has been associated with Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata for more than 3 years as an Associate consultant. His clinical, diagnostic, and surgical expertise areas include management of corneal infections, lamellar corneal transplantations, management of ocular surface morbidities , ocular surface neoplasia, and ocular traumas. He has over 20+ publications in peer and non-peer reviewed journals. He has presented and moderated at numerous state and national-level conferences. He also has a keen interest in teaching students and is an avid reader. He is well known for his resolute and round the clock dedicated patient care.
