Dr Shikha Rajesh Bassi completed her MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College (Mumbai) in the year 1997. She acquired a Diploma in Ophthalmology from C.U. Shah College of Ophthalmology a unit of the Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya in 2000. Further she cleared the examination held by the International council of Ophthalmologists in 2000, Diplomate of National Board in 2001, Fellowship in advanced cataract surgery from Sankara Nethralaya in 2001, Fellowship of Royal College of surgeons (Glasgow) in 2002. She underwent a special training in Neuro-ophthalmology in Sankara Nethralaya and joined the department in September 2004. She has presented papers at various national and international conferences. She has publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is an editorial board member of the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. She is an accomplished phaco surgeon .Currently, she is working as an In Charge, Sankara Nethralaya RA Puram branch, Chennai, and Deputy Director of Neuro ophthalmology Services, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai.
