Grievance Redressal Procedure

It shall be the duty of the employer or other responsible person in work place or their institutions to prevent or deter the commission of acts of sexual harassment and to provide the procedures for the resolution, settlement or prosecution od acts of sexual harassment by taking all steps required.

For the purpose, sexual harassment includes such un welcome sexually determined behavior (whether directly or by implication) as:

1. Physically contact and advances
2. Demand or request for sexual favors
3. Sexually colored remarks
4. Showing pornography
5. Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature.

Preventive Steps

The employer or person in charge of work place should take the following steps:

1. Express prohibition of sexual harassment as defined above at the work place should be notified, published and circulated in appropriate ways.
2. If anyone is found guilty of the above act the same may be taken into account and the penalty imposed on the offender.
3. Where such conduct amounts to a specific offence under the Indian penal code or under any other law, the employer shall initiate appropriate action in accordance with law by making compliant with the appropriate authority.
4. A team member desiring to raise any question in which he is directly concerned, shall at the first instance, discuss it with his immediate supervisor.
5. Not getting satisfactory solution from his immediate supervisor, he may raise his problem within 3 days to his sectional head.
6. If the workman is still not satisfied, then within 2 days he may approach his department head for solution to his problem.

This committee addresses the grievances of the women employees of the organization.

It handles issues related to sexual harassment at workplace, in accordance with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment act

General counselling and training sessions on “Sexual Harassment” are regularly conducted for all employees.

This committee meets once in a quarter to discuss and solve issues if any.
