Observership application form
Ophthalmologists from SAARC nations have an opportunity to enrich and expand their knowledge in various specialities at our Centre of Excellence. This observership program helps to enhance the quality and precision of speciality knowledge in their ophthalmic clinical practice, both in remote areas and in tertiary care hospitals. One can choose to customize the observership, ranging from 4 weeks to 3 months, thereby focusing on the specific targeted proficiency in the learning arenas during the clinical and surgical observation. Speciality offerings for observership include Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Ocular Oncology, Oculoplasty, Ocular Surface Disorders, Medical Retina, Pediatric Ophthalmology, and Uvea & Intraocular Inflammation. Candidates have the opportunity to interact with specialist faculty and participate in academic classes, presentations, and lectures during their observership period. Institutional certification for the observership at the end of the tenure shall carry due recognition for enhanced quality of clinical practice in their home communities. Candidates from the Government Setup/ Tertiary Ophthalmology Institutes will be given preference. The ophthalmologist will be trained and encouraged to join the SN Teleophthalmology Project, which will support their practice by helping them set up and seek opinions from the SN team.
