Comprehensive eye examination

The practice of this examination is comparable to the ones done world over.

It is a thorough eye examination which involves vision checking, refraction, eye muscle balance evaluation, intraocular pressure measurement and dilated retinal evaluation. Cataract surgery in most cases is done with phacoemulsification technique. This center has a very advanced phacoemulsification system.
Retina clinic: Prevalence of diabetes in India is currently 12.1% . It is calculated that there are approximately 33 million adults with diabetes in India. Retina or the light sensitive layer at the back of the eye can get affected due to diabetes and its prevalence in urban population is 17.6% . There are various other hereditary and age related conditions which can affect the retina. This center has the necessary infrastructure to diagnose and treat most of these conditions.

Glaucoma clinic: A condition where variations in the pressure within the eye cause damage to the nerve resulting in loss of field of vision and if left unattended it can result in blindness. Often called the "sneak thief" of sight, most forms of glaucoma do not produce symptoms until vision is already severely damaged. But if diagnosed early, the disease can be controlled and permanent vision loss can be prevented.

Contact lens clinic is functional on all 7 days. Along with normal Contact Lens trial it also has provision for speciality contact lens fitting as required in certain special conditions. For example keratoconus.

Operation Theater: This center has a state of the art operation theater, with the latest microscopes, phacoemulsification machine, intensive care unit and postoperative recovery area. High standards of aspesis and sterilization techniques are maintained here. Cataract surgery is done at a day care procedure here.
