Day 2: (17.06.2025) Participants were : External institutions ; TSNA Faculty & Students

• Competition 1 : Showcased 11 reels . Judges were Dr.V.V.Jaichandran (Dr.VVJ) & Dr.Durga Priyadarshini (Dr.DAP)
• Talk was given by Mr. Aun Kumar PJ (Technical manager ),Avantor from Best surgicals.
  Topic : Recent advances in cell based Immunoassays (CLIA)
• Competition 2 (Quiz): 15 participants in the preliminary round. 10 were selected and 5 teams were formed. Top 3 team were selected based on their score in 4 rounds
• Competition 3: Pictionary & Dumb charades competition was the last event of the day. 8 teams in Preliminary round. 5 teams were selected . Top 3 were selected in 5 rounds.
• 1st place Microbiology, 2nd & 3rd places to Main Lab)

Day 3: (18.06.2025) Participants were : External institutions ; TSNA Faculty & Students

• 10 External Institutions with 127 registrants including 4 faculties (Sri Venkateswara Paramedical college(Pondy), MMM college, Tagore Medical college, Hindu mission college, Divine mother college(Pondy), Stanley medical college, KKCTH, Apollo hospital, CSI Kalyani & Kauvery Hospital,Chennai). The Sankara Nethralaya Academy (TSNA) : 72 participants
• Poster Competition for students alone :28 posters (External :15 & Internal : 13). The judges :Dr.Mythili,Director- VHS, Dr Soumya Parameswaran -Stem cell, VRF & Ms.Jospheen Nayagi -Nursing Superintendent, MRF.
• 1 : Seminar on Phlebotomy & laboratory information system by Dr.K.Selvakumar (Founder- IABPMS) Kauvery Hospital Chennai & Mr.Akbar Basha (IABPMS). The hall was full with 127 +72 students and the rest were the laboratory technologist and faculties

Session 2: Industry Talks

• Presented by Dr.Bhaswanth, Pathologist & Medical affairs Manager from Becton, Dickinson (BD) - Title:” Best Practices on Blood culture collection “ was full of facts.
• Mr.Stephen Raj, Divisional Support Manager-Transasia Biomedicals,- Title: “Challenges encountered in sample processing -Biochemistry point of view”. He enlisted all the challenges and gave the solutions as ”To do” and “Not to do” list.

Session 3 : Experts Talk

• Dr Aarthy MD, Microbiology, SIIMS hospital, Chennai -“Emerging Technologies in Diagnostic Microbiology”. She gave a complete list of technology updates in Microbiology diagnostics.

Session 4 : Experts Talk

• Dr.Parthiban Consultant Biochemist & Faculty , FQI spoke on - “Results matters-So do we!” He highlighted the importance of “ personal “ in Laboratory and how personals matter in accurate results
• Ms. Bhavani Pazhani, Asst. Prof, Dept of Nutrition, Ethiraj college for women - spoke on ” Nutrition in Every day Life “ She shared the latest ICMR recommendation2024 on the “My plate” and its compositions
• Dr.Sheela Sasikumar Dr.RK Diabetic Foot Podiatric Institute, spoke on -”Scope of Clinical research for Medical Laboratory professionals”. She explained clinical research and its scope as a carer for the Laboratory technologists , also motivating the students.

Closing Session

• We had our Chief Guest : Dr.Girish Shiva Rao-President, Executive-Medical Director MRF, Guest of Honour Dr: Pramod Bhende-Senior consultant Vitreo Retinal services, Dr.Pradeep Susvar-Director Academics
• Dr.Angayarkanni- Director Laboratory services spoke on the SNSC Cl Lab SN history and update
• Dr.Anuradha -Principal TSNA spoke on the MLT program of TSNA
• Dr.Girish Shiva Rao- President MRF spoke to wish the Clinical Laboratory , the audience and the participants, gave away the certificates of appreciation for our Laboratory staff who had more than 5 years of service, the highest being 24 years (Mr.Ravikumar, Biochemistry), followed by Ms.Jayanthi (>20 y). Those with >15 years : 3 of them, > 10 years : 9 and > 5 years : 7 . A total of 21 of them from all the departments of the laboratory received the certificate of appreciation.
• The Prizes of the events were distributed by Dr.Pramaod Bhende and Dr.Pradeep
• Prizes for Posters- Internal ie TSNA : 1st Prize BSc 3rd year,2nd MSc 1st year 3rd BSc 3rd year
• Prizes for the Posters- External Registrants (1st& 3rd Prize MMM & 2nd d Prize : Sri Venkataeswara college)
• Dr.Suman, Pathologist, Assistant Professor- Dept. of Hematology & CP delivered the Vote of thanks

The program was successful in getting the target audience form other institutions running the Med Lab-tech program and gave visibility to our activities.
